Living on our own, very far from most of our family has taught me quite a bit. The main lesson learned over and over again is.. no help = a good thing. When you don't have the option to even ask for help, you learn how to pray and figure out a solution very quickly, all on your own. 

So, just like many other things in life, I have had absolutely no help in building my photography business. No mentors, classes or instructors... completely self taught... Its been just me and my camera since the very beginning. Was this the hard way? Absolutely... Did it take a few years to start turning a profit instead of a few months? Sure, it did. Through faith, prayer, lots of research, practice and God given skill, here I am. Now, when I stand back and look at the work I've done, I can be so proud that I brought myself to this point and also, so humbled by what God has given me through faith and perseverance. 

So... Why would I take the time to write all of this out for you? Because, this is what makes me unique. This is what motivates me to pour my heart and soul into every single session I shoot. This is what makes me appreciate my clients more than any other.
